County seeks drivers to take veterans to medical appointments

The Winnebago County Veterans Department needs more drivers to transport the growing number of aging veterans.
The office runs a program to transport aging veterans to appointments at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs medical facilities located in Madison, Milwaukee and Tomah, and clinics in Appleton and Cleveland, said Wendy Conger, benefits specialist for the county's Veterans Department.
