Companies who manufacture officially licensed apparel products will be required to purchase at least 25 percent of their goods from factories that allow some form of unionization for workers, under UW-Madison’s pilot program, Chancellor John Wiley announced Tuesday.

Way to go Mad Town. As if the cost of going to college wasn't high enough, lets add additional costs for students wanting university apperal by mandating that it be "union made".
I guess its fitting though after all Madison is the closet thing to a communist society we have in America, and "The Soviet Union" failed so Madison is trying to keep alive the communist manifesto through mandates. Hey, maybe we should start calling UW Madison "The Madison Union" where communism still survives.....
The good news about this. Some enterprising Capatilist students might be able to help defray some of the costs of education by selling knock off apparel at lower prices than the union made items.
